摘要(Abstract)：

<正>Caton,MA:Science History Publication:1985,ISBN:978-3-487-14324-8在现代医学史上,鲁道夫·魏尔啸(Rudolf Virchow,1821—1902)是一位在临床医学、社会医学及公共卫生事业管理等诸多领域均做出过杰出贡献的先驱式人物。魏尔啸生前和身后的一系列重要事件曾在《英国医学杂志》(The British MedicalJournal)形成系列刊载:70寿辰纪念(1891)、从教50周年纪念(1899)、80寿辰纪念(1901)、讣告发布(1902)、葬礼举行(1902)、专项纪念基金会的成立(1903)、纪念碑的树立(1908)……此外,美国《科学》杂志和英国《柳叶刀》(Lancet)杂志在魏尔啸逝世之后均曾刊发专门文章以资纪念。
